5 of Cups

Well it looks like working through sorrow is a theme this week. If you have not already, please read this week's channeling on sorrow and loneliness. For now let's get into the 5 of Cups and break it down. The suit of Cups relates to our emotions, water and Spirit. The number 5 speaks of changes and reminds us that change is a part of life and things are constantly in motion.

The part of this card that always jumps out at me is the man in his sorrowful state only focusing on the 3 spilled cups before him, not seeing the 2 cups still standing behind him. He is wrapped in his cloak of sorrow hanging his head as if there is no way out of this state he is in.  The water before him flows under the bridge, this says to me that there is a way! There is a crossing! Lift your head not all is lost! Pick up those cups, fill them up again and keep moving forward.

I feel strongly that we need to take a look at our emotional health this week. What has you feeling low? What's preventing you from seeing the cups behind you and the bridge before you? Let's take off the dark cloak of sorrow and stretch our arms open to receive the help that our loved ones and guides provide♡ We have great support but we must be willing and open to receive it. Sometimes that means we have to stretch beyond our comfort zone.

Love and nurture yourself because you are just as important as everyone else. Your needs also need to be met and don't be afraid or ashamed to ask for help. You matter too! Have a deep cry if that's what's called for, get extra sleep, take a bubble bath, talk to someone about what your going through. Do what helps you get back to a more harmonious state of being.

Lots of love to you!
